Webchat is an Internet Relay Chat-like system that allows Web users to have real-time conversations with each other via the Web. After downloading the free software and getting a 'handle,' users may exchange conversations, images, and multimedia information in a series of different 'rooms,' each with a different topic focus (such as politics or music). Webchat also includes regular interviews at the Internet Roundtable with educators, government officials, and writers, with transcripts available after the event. Users may also look at mailing lists, FAQs and code documentation.
